29th April | Starting at 7 PM in front of Panke Gallery (Gerichtstraße 23)
We are happy to be a part of Sellerie Weekend ( :
The idea of doing an event in a car as a CARaoke, originated in a late night with our guest Lola Göller, co-curator for this event, back in +DEDE's old space, where drinks had been abundant, but music to sing along was missing.
It was the time of the pandemic and we were loudly thinking about possibilities to make gatherings and celebrations happening within the rules of the restrictions: If the people are not allowed to go to places- the places have to come to the people.
Given the situation, +DEDE is a homeless project space since the end of last year, we decided to get in the car, make the idea happen and invite some friends to tag and sing along.
The title Vanishing Point originates from the eponymous film, a race forward. For the movie, the protagonist is in a car chase with the police, in our case it is a race against time, searching for a space in Berlin, while Lola Göller runs the project SOLO (together with Johanna Landscheidt), which has been a homeless, nomadic space from the beginning on.
A perfect match most likely. In a Car.
Vanishing Point is thought of as a performative and open action, moving around Berlin over the course of two days.
Work list:
Alice Héron | slurp slurp, 2023. Lyrics and chorus: Martin Flugelman. Music: Fernan Mareque.
Alice Heron is a Cheffe and multidisciplinary artist. Both her practices nourish each other while she researches Gut Feeling, Intuition and Corporality. She creates sensory food experiences, site specific environments, as well as visceral sculptures. Through those different mediums Alice investigates how our bodies sense and interact with one another, with a focus on the idea of care, sensuality on an intriguing sci-fi backdrop, which evokes a scary but beautiful feeling of following intuition.
Lola Göller | Horizons, 2023. Flutes, lyrics and composition: Lola Göller. Horn and trumpet: Constantin Hartenstein. Drums: filed recordings, Chile, 2017.

H.O.LL.Y.W.OO.D | Life is, 2023.
"Hollywood" is a solo musical project by Filmmaker Alexander Nowak. In collaboration with Rene Huthwelker, he comprises one half of the experimental electronic musical duo "Delay on Earth“.
Based in Berlin and Cologne, Hollywoods Debut EP is set to be released on Vinyl (Mask Records Berlin) later this year.

TREPTOWERZ | EXTASI:EXTANO, 2023.
TREPTOWERZ is an Audio Visual project by filmmaker Kosei Takasaki and artist Flavio Degen.
Carola Uehlken | Invertebration, 2023. Music: Magenta 6, Relax 7. Master: Arthur Debert.
Carola Uehlken is a transdisciplinary curator based in Berlin. In her work, the courtroom, systems of government, and the administrative apparatus become tools to reflect on their performative aesthetics, linguistics, and often bitter effects on marginalized groups, non-human species, and geopolitical infrastructures. With disobedience, chaos, and humor, she opens up alternative readings of the past and the future in which new, "weirder" narratives are allowed to emerge through collaboration and participation.
Ute Waldhausen | MIRexpress, 2023.
Ute Waldhausen lives and works in Berlin, London and in the mountains. She studied art history, Romance studies, media design and art in Berlin and Weimar and was a master student for Visual Culture Studies at the Berlin University of the Arts.
Her performances have been seen at Forum Expanded, NNOI Festival Zernikow and Café OTO, London, among others. She has exhibited at Kunstraum Michael Barthel in Leipzig, TÄT and BRAENNEN in Berlin, produces for radio and is part of the music project Parabelles and MirExpress.
